Partner Description

The research of the remote sensing research group at GFZ is focused on the definition, simulation and design of hyperspectral, optical sensors and the analysis and evaluation of remote measurements made from resp. airplanes and satellites. Furthermore, GFZ has expertise in interferometric SAR technology for deformation analysis. InSAR measurements are used to study earthquakes and regional deformation, to observe volcanic activity and flows of glacier and ice sheets, and to monitor hazards and environmental changes caused by landslides and subsidence.
